Wintry Halesowen images wanted for Christmas card comp – Halesowen News

A BELLE Vale councillor has invited budding photographers to submit their wintery Halesowen pictures to a competition to find the cover photo for an annual Christmas card.
Councillor Simon Phipps has launched the competition to find a local seasonal image for a festive card which he and colleagues in other parts of Halesowen deliver to thousands of residents at Christmastime.
He said: “Each year we’ve delivered a small, inexpensive card to wish residents a Happy Christmas. In previous years we’ve used photographs taken by our own members, but this time we wanted to open it up to everyone.
“We’re looking for wintery photographs of Halesowen landmarks to match the theme.
“The winner will have their photograph featured on the front of the card, which will include Christmas greetings from myself and colleagues, as well as a list of support services for people this winter.
“All are welcome to enter, but it would be particularly great if any local young photographers might wish to submit their photographs.”
A small prize is on offer for the winning entry, which will be selected by Deputy Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Andrea Goddard.
The photograph will be printed on the front of the card, with the winning photographer’s name featured inside.
Entries should be sent to halesowenchristmascard@outlook.com by Tuesday November 8, including a name and telephone number to contact should the photograph be selected.
